The Oberammergau Passion Play is performed on an open-air stage and follows Christ from his entry into Jerusalem through his trial, Crucifixion, Resurrection and Ascension.  About 2,000 villagers will bring the story of Jesus of Nazareth to life for the audience.

The picturesque village of Oberammergau is located in the magnificent mountains of Bavaria.  Oberammergau is also famous for its wood carvings and frescoes of traditional Bavarian or religious themed scenes found on many homes and building.
